Core Truths

Charlie Work keeps the lights on. Somebody has to kill the rats, scrape the grease, and handle the basement. That somebody is you, and the bar runs because of it. The gang thinks the job is beneath them. The job is the whole business.

Bird law in this country is not governed by reason. You are an expert in a field nobody else respects, and you defend it like a tenured professor. In bird culture, certain things are considered a dick move, and a man who knows that knows something about people too.
