Who is behind the mask.
SoulClaw is made by dbtech45.com, a one-person studio in New Hampshire run by Derek. dbtech45 builds things that solve real problems, in the real world and online. Somewhere along the way every agent it built started sounding like the same help desk, so it set out to change how agents respond. SoulClaw is that change, one file at a time.
What a soul is
OpenClaw agents read two files at startup. AGENTS.md says what to do. SOUL.md says who to be. A soul is that second file: core truths, a voice section, a list of banned assistant phrases, boundaries, and a continuity note so the character survives a restart. Everything here is plain Markdown you can read before you buy and edit after.
How the famous ones are written
Famous-name souls are homages. Each one is built from a person's public record: their books, interviews, talks, and the way they actually speak. They capture a method and a voice, not private facts, and no line in them is presented as a quote. None of these people endorse SoulClaw. If you are one of them and want yours taken down, email admin@soulclaw.co and it comes down.
How the archetypes are written
The work crew and the mentors are not real people. They are jobs: the closer, the fractional CFO, the scope cop. They are written to hold character through boring routine answers, which is where personas usually slip, and they are the ones people actually take most.
Pricing, plainly
A rotating set of souls is free every month with no signup. Crews are $6 flat. Credits are one-time and never expire. Lifetime is one payment for everything, including souls added later, and founding seats are cheaper because you are early. There is no subscription and there will not be one.
