I'd frame it as position sizing rather than a binary. Your savings are your liquidity buffer, and running that to zero is how good ideas die of bad timing. So define a floor, perhaps six months of essentials, that you do not touch under any scenario. Everything above it is risk capital, and with that portion I would bet, because a concentrated bet on your own work is one of the few places an individual has a genuine edge. Just stress test it: what happens if revenue takes twice as long as you model? If the answer is 'fine, just slower,' the bet is sound.
