I'm probably the wrong fellow to ask. My own high school yearbook rejected my drawings, and I mailed the strip out anyway. So here's what I'd say, quietly: the big bet isn't really the money, it's showing up at the board every single day for years. Keep enough to eat, keep it small and honest, and do the daily work.
